On February 12, 2025, the First Job Program successfully took place at West Visayas State University (WVSU) College of Agriculture and Forestry, Lambunao Campus, bringing together 200 graduating students eager to step into the workforce. This initiative, spearheaded by Sikap.PH in partnership with the Office of Board Member Jason Gonzales, aimed to bridge the gap between education and employment by providing career guidance, job opportunities, and networking opportunities for soon-to-be graduates.

Among the key highlights of the event were the guest speakers who provided guidance and inspiration to the graduating students:

• Aveina Virtual Assistance Services Inc. – A growing virtual assistant company that specializes in remote administrative and digital support services. Their representatives discussed opportunities in the remote work industry and how fresh graduates can leverage their skills for online jobs.
• OXORD Computer Systems and Repair Center – A leading tech solutions provider that specializes in computer repairs, IT support, and system maintenance. They shared insights on IT-related careers and the increasing demand for technical professionals in today’s digital economy.

Both employers engaged with students, answered their questions, and introduced job openings within their respective companies, giving attendees a realistic view of career possibilities after graduation.
